Super Rugby Pacific Round 5 - Crusaders 55-33 Western Force - 15/03/2025.

Photo highlights from the Super Pacific Rugby Round 5 clash between the Crusaders and Western Force which was played at the Apollo Projects Stadium in Christchurch on a sweltering afternoon in the garden city.

The first 40 minutes of the encounter were a tight affair until the Crusaders clicked into gear in the second half rather fittingly with Iron Man jerseys they were wearing as part of the Superheroes round. 

The stars of the show were Macca Springer who bagged himself five tries just edging his teammate Sevu Reece who scored three. Springer however after crossing the line for the fifth looked to be having the time of his life on a lovely sunny day in the Garden City and the 10,100-strong crowd was as well as they stood to salute his efforts. 

The Force, however, who were incredibly competitive in the first half as they competed in the air and the rucks, appeared as if they had come to repeat their famous win from last year.

Instead, they wilted in the Christchurch heat as the Crusaders ripped them to bits with Will Jordan, Taha Kemara and James O'Connor adding points onto the board late on putting the icing on what was a very convincing and clinical performance.
